Bootser Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 Having issues with a 5cm stricture in my bowel next to the anastomoses (join) from previous Crohn’s related surgery. I’m due an ASAP operation to replumb my already replumbed innards. All, hopefully, without the need for a permanent stoma/colostomy bag. Anyone been down this route? Met Surgeon a couple of days ago and am confident he will do his utmost to avoid bags etc but has advised this is major surgery. He is keen to do elective surgery rather than me arriving as an emergency case. i was pretty sure surgery was on the cards due to my weight loss, continual abdominal pain, of the 10 variety etc. I’m pretty good at not worrying about these things. My attitude is why worry now, worry later. Even in hospital I only worry when I’m at theatre and they’re ready to send me into the arms of Morpheus.
