I don't he played much at Milan but must've been good previously to get a move to them at that time. I think he went to Chelsea too late but not sure what age he was.

Yeah he flopped big time at Chelsea. Think he tried to get out of the move as well.

He was at Bayern as well earlier in his career I think. Was a good Rangers team that.

They'd some good players you'd think they couldn't get. Signed Porrini from Juventus where he got games previously. I guess the gap between leagues wasn't as pronounced then as it is now. Sad that loads of big successful historic clubs can never be successful again through no fault of their own, just in the wrong country.

Brian and his brother are, rightfully, legends in Denmark.

Their dad was also an international.

Most would agree Michael is the best player we’ve ever had, playing for Juventus, Barca and Real and all, but Brian wasn’t fair behind. He won us the Euros in 92 when Michael was sulking.

That said Brian’s hair is also interestingly impressive. Never changed it one bit since he was a kid. Just like his brother. Same hair.

Yeah we offered but he didn’t fancy England.

Nope, it was because Liverpool changed the original agreement

In 1983 Liverpool were English champions and had reached an agreement to sign Brondby’s teenage sensation Michael Laudrup, but it fell through.

He wanted to join them, he was a Liverpool fan, but ultimately the deal didn’t materialise because Laudrup didn’t like it when the club attempted to alter the agreement.

“I was disappointed because although nothing had been signed, we had an agreement. I decided not to join them and people thought I was crazy. This 19-year-old was turning down the great Liverpool. It wasn’t really like that though.

“I just felt an agreement is an agreement and people should stick to what they decide. After that, I had other offers and went on to join Juventus. That’s football for you.”

I used to have this video:

At the start there was a bit about Rush going to Juve, and you saw him in training beside Laudrup. Laudrup made a funny face when he was joking about, and I always think of that when I see his name.

Lovely stuff.

He was different gravy. One of the greatest ever.

Remember reading about that deal falling through. I think we just suddenly tried to add another year onto the contract.

We agreed a 3-year-deal and tried to change it to 4 at the last minute apparently. What a monumental f***up that was!

Why are youse all discussing the footballing merits of the Michael when Brian is at the top of the page looking like that.

I reckon that all of you are either intimidated or can’t actually comprehend the level of gorg he is. Like discussing agape love with an amoeba.

Brilliant! I nearly wore it out watching it over and over.
