I've realised I'm a disloyal t*** who'll turn on players when they stop being good, so I don't really have favourites any more.  

(But then so are you, be honest with yourself)

I do like seeing Curtis Jones do well though.  And Virgil would be the one I'd be slowest to turn on because of accumulated goodwill.

To be honest, it used to be easier to have a favourite player they weren't all f***ing boss.  If we had Xabi Alonso now, he'd be much of a muchness.

Think then you'd be very safe going for Trent. Injuries aside he's pretty much a certain first team player for the next decade

Nope, Trent was the one who ultimately brought on that realisation.  I thought he was my favourite player but then  I was thinking some terrible things about him when he was out of form earlier this season.  Things I didn't dare say.

I hope he never finds out what I was thinking, it would be terribly cruel.
