I mean it’s a good book but there’s no need to go round telling everyone you meet the rest of your life that you read it.  Just comes over as needy.

Did anyone see him on BBC Breakfast? He said 'I'm not really a goodbye person. I'm a hello person' and I wanted to walk outside and find a bus to walk under.

Hodgson strikes again.

The amount of people who've fallen for that s*** is quite remarkable

Build a statue for him at the Kop end.  If only for the sight of seeing a row of pigeons sat on his massive schlong.

You can't fully understand the man unless he's managed your club. Probably even more niche than that in that you have to be a big, ambitious club. Palace and Fulham probably think he's not evil

Roy doesn't know why you say goodbye, he says hello.

Sounds like something out of a horror film

His best moment was when in the wake of losing to Iceland and resigning/being sacked by England he was dragged to the press conference and stated “I dunno what I’m doing here to be honest”

which, of course, could have applied to every previous England press conference he gave.

My favourite thing he did was in the dying moments of that game with his team desperate for an equaliser facing their biggest humiliation in living memory and plucky exhausted Icelanders punted the ball out of touch and it gently rolled a few inches to the side of Hodgson, as his full back sprinted over to hurriedly get it back into play Roy simply let it go past him watching it run away rather than put out a foot and get his nice shiny shoe dirty.

It was the pure footballing instincts of a pure footballing man who properly couldn’t be arsed.

Fawning over this type of s*** is very odd -

That's just a nice story, isn't it?

I dunno, my hate for Hodgson has subsided well below Rodgers level, which is admittedly weird. I'm glad he never managed us but I don't begrudge him a decent send off and he seems a generally nice bloke.

“Hello children you’re not to worry just think you’re spending Christmas in the second best hospital in the country.  Ho and in a sense I suppose Ho!”

Remember that. Had the kids feeling like they were on the Death Star in Jedi to the one in Star Wars.
