What should I do?

My lad is doing really well at cricket at the moment, on the County pathway. Currently playing under 11s but he's too good and he's finding it frustrating and not challenging at all. Has an offer to move up year groups but his a******* of a coach wants to keep him, against his wishes, in the under 11 setup. I've tried making the case but this guy can argue for England.
