Yeah there’s stuff about qualification being due to historical success etc though isn’t there.

Looks like the clubs want more control so setting up their own ‘uefa’ by sounds of it. No city in it which is funny.

I actually didn’t mind the Swiss model for cl - I didn’t like the historical qualification though. Those extra places should have gone to other leagues like Dutch for example.

City getting away with what they have under UEFA is probably the main reason they're not included.

As far as I remember the new proposal was a chess style Swiss league.

Increase teams from 32 to 36.

Everyone plays 10 games. 

Top 8 go through. 

Teams 9 to 24 go into a playoff round 

8 teams eliminated

The winners of the playoff play the top 8 in a standard last 16 round and everything continues as previous from there on

2 of the extra 4 places are legacy picks based on past success
