An Aunt of mine passed away two weeks ago and I found out a few days later that I am the only person in her and her late husbands (my Uncles) Will. Which also makes me Executor.

Having never done this before it's been an overwhelming period of dealing with the grief as well as chasing up solicitors, funeral directors and registrars. I have spent a day at her house to find policy numbers and accounts to close and pursue.

Has anyone ever had to deal with getting valuations of contents and most notably antiques after a relative has passed?

I need to get valuations of some antique furniture to provide an idea of asset valuations..

Fortunately my Aunt was prepared and I found a folder where she had all her desired Funeral wishes and even written her own eulogy. Heart breaking to find it.
