I wonder if there is any benefit in sending Keita on a retreat. Somewhere with hot springs or somewhere Victorians used to go for the air

I'd send his turds to Gillian McKeith at the very least

I'd play Davies and Kabak. Or maybe even Nat Phillips.

Their tactic will be get the ball on DCL's head. If we play Henderson then he won't win a header all day.

Davies is supposedly not the strongest in the air so I doubt that. Be staggered if Philips started given he's only ever really started as a complete last resort, and even if he did it's a hell of an assumption to think that they wouldn't have watched him play and seen he's slower than evolution and then adapted accordingly.

They will also play for set pieces. That c*** Richarlison will be diving constantly trying to win them (when he’s not trying to maim ours). We really could do with the added height. Saying that I would be very surprised if it isn’t Hendo back there though.

let's pretend to compete for headers but in fact we just let the hapless lump win them all

we drop Hendo in behind to collect all the balls he flicks on and he charges upfield like Sammer with the ball at his feet, setting up wave after wave of attacks

I’m all in with the Sammer - libero stuff.

Used to love that in football.

Philips wouldn't be a bad shout against these actually, don't think I'm put him in alongside Kabak though. Hendo is alright in the air isn't he Phil, such a shame Fabinho is out I'd love to see either of them kicking lumps out of these shower of f*cking dogs tomorrow.

My dislike of Everton hasn't generally been as deep as a lot of people on here, maybe because we have so many Blues in the family my brother included, definitely because I don't live in Liverpool.

But since that game in October I hate them more than anybody else in the league, I'm still fuming, haven't calmed down one little bit.

The manager definitely holds Nat Phillips in lower regard than is being accepted here. He's spent months preferring Rhys Williams, then he played actual midfielders together instead, how's he gonna go from that to starting him in a derby?!

He isn't as good at centre half as the two midfielders, both are world class footballers. But he's done well in his last two outings both of which suited him, he's a tad dodgy against people like Vardy and Jesus but Charlison and Calvert Lewin will suit him better maybe. I just want to get that midfield strengthened, Hendo missing is one of the main reasons we are struggling in there.

Wouldn't a man who is tactically switched on enough to have won 3 European Cups just change their tactics and play Richarlison on him instead? Richarlison is really quick. He'd be lucky to make half time without being done or booked. Or maybe even both.

How did he get rated as one of the best CBs in the Championship of all leagues if he's not that good in the air? He doesn't look particularly quick either. Is he good at anything? Have we just bought him to sell him for 10m in the summer to Derby County?

The Championship isn't really like that now. Very few teams play big number nines and lump the ball up to him these days.

I don't agree that Philips is such a stand out liability as you appear to think? He's quicker than Williams for sure, is physically very strong and great in the air, he's no good on the ball but so long as he keeps it simple he seems to get by, he was great last time out.  I don't see Richarlison as a Vardy type player, maybe I have that wrong, he is quick like but we have a back four not a back one.. and Ancelotti is a great manager, but we have much better players, tactics only get you so far
