Molby Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 This is the game where we unveil our new CB anything other than 3 points and the season is over, otherwise we can extend it by at least a week until we play City Tactics please maestro (Rory)
McBain Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 (edited) Can't believe this was 6 years ago. Feels like just this week Brighton are suddenly good. We need to be on it here Edited February 1, 2021 by McBain

Even if we get that Car fella. He will want to work with him/them. Reckon he will go same again with Fab back for the City game with either Hendo or Matip if fit.

Wanted to look at the Spurs game last night to watch Brighton to see what they’re about lately but couldn’t get to it. I did see the Connolly chance though which was funny. I really want to beat these. I just want that crack off City with the hope that a win opens it right up. It would hurt going into City with a poor result. A win and a clean Bill of health (for those that are left) so we can put everything into City and get right back in the frame whilst also halting their run. This is more a post for the City game thread than Brighton

Falconhoof Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 I know its v. unlikely, but it would be kinda fun to see the lineup for this with both new lads in, and Hendo and Fabinho back in midfield.
Big Red Machine Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 I can't put together an XI for this no matter how I try. We'll need to be full strength vs City so I expect a bit of rotation. But the players I'd rotate we don't really have any other options for (Hendo, Gini, Thiago, Robbo)

Davies might be in the squad but I think I saw something about Kabak arriving on Merseyside later in the week. Edited February 2, 2021 by Boca

Gethin Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 Guess we'll find out lunchtime who's still out - but I think Fab's already been ruled out and Origi took a knock. Would expect the team to be similar to West Ham but with Bobby starting instead of Origi and either Jones or Ox for Milner
Cobs Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 i'd chuck Davies straight in - the earlier we can write him off as s***e the better 9
PhilM Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 He's not going to get a much easier game to start off in. Might be a but harsh on Nat Phillips to drop him though.

Dan Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 Brighton have got some big lads. Wouldn't be the worst idea to get Davies in there.

We have a pretty horrible run of fixtures coming up so if we don't throw him in here I'm not sure when the next natural game for him to start would even be. Leicester if no Vardy?
Cam Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 Just now, Dan said: Brighton have got some big lads. Wouldn't be the worst idea to get Davies in there. A lot of the stuff I read on him said he lacks physicality.
honourablegeorge Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 Hard to judge his level, but he looks promising https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/12205258/analysis-what-would-ben-davies-bring-to-liverpool
PaulMcC186 Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 I thought his only real weakness was not being good against big or strong players. I don't think any of the Brighton forwards are very physical so he could be decent against them. I don't fancy Philips against passing teams with a bit of decent movement off the ball. 1
Swipe Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 Did Klopp mention mane at all? Can’t see any quotes on twitter.
Big Red Machine Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 Are either Davies or Kabak even eligible for this? When is the registration deadline before games? 48hours?
