Any chance Naby fancies it?

Sort of get the impression they've decided that whatever is that's been plaguing him means they've decided he needs to just sit out for a while. Based on nothing of course.

So back 4 picks itself, Hendo, Gini & Thiago in Midfield, front 3. That sounds pretty f***ing sweet to be honest at the minute.

That team is still the best 11 in the league.

On paper perhaps. Form suggests not.

That's the player and manager's fault then. They should be performing a lot better but that hasn't really played much. Its only missing one player from probably our best starting 11 if you consider Matip and Gomez equal.

Not sure what your point is? They should be beating everyone? You can't just switch form and confidence on like a tap. They seem mentally and physically drained.

My point is the players in that team make up the best 11 in the league.

But that team has barely played.

I think it's a stretch to suggest that's the league's best 11.

It's the best we've had for some time though.

So frustrating that we never get any info about these niggles. Suggests there's something bigger at the root of it all.

That team is class. They need a wee kick start to get the confidence flowing again, hopefully they can do it against Spurs - doesn't matter how - they can be lucky, great or somewhere in between.

I think I'd like a lucky win. Some sort of massive slice of luck like City got with that Villa goal. But not exactly like it or it will be disallowed now.

Would be nice to see Mourinho spitting feathers and feeling hard done by at the end.

A repeat of the "the better team lost" scenario would be great.  But this time true.  Let them have 96% possession, 43 shots, 6 nailed-on penalties declined by VAR and us win in the 8th minute of 6 minutes injury time via an offside, handball own-goal deflected in off a beach ball blown up & kicked on by Jurgen.

Easy to blame the manager and the player, but it shouldn't come as a major shock that their morale and confidence went down when it became apparent that there would be no investment in January, they did so well to be top of the table with no fit CBs for most of the season, but when Matip went off against WBA and we ended up drawing the game, they probably started to think that their efforts all season have been in vain

A new CB wouldn't have just helped the team, but would have given a big boost to the confidence of the team

I’ve seen this argument a few times. I’m not sure why fans need to know the detail of players’ injuries.

overwhelming evidence more like

spend £70m on a player who never plays, for unspecified reasons

I absolutely (contingently) hate the c*** and what he represents

This feels like it contradicts with a bit with the whole Mentality Monsters thing. Means they're more just 'Confident when they're doing well' if they can't hack adversity.

Because we're told Naby (as an example) has a small issue hence why he's not playing in a game then 4 weeks later he's still not back.
