Seems a few countries are talking to each other about this because there is a theme across Europe to start lockdowns again - but in terms of the regional impact in the UK, will it impact Liverpool and the ability to see fans in the ground ?

Not whilst Liverpool remains in Tier 2. Given rates are currently low it might be OK for a bit unless a political decision gets made

Thanks, I'd heard a change in approach (nationally ?) but didnt know the impact on the regional areas and teams/grounds.

£10 on Angry Mane for first goal.

Instead of the usual bottle of wine for the post-match managers chat I hope Klopp takes one of Gregg's finest pasties.

4k fans if you're in Tier 1, 2k in Tier 2, none for Tier 3 and the newly-minted lockdown tier 4

I think areas going back up a tier is where we're at long term so Liverpool might be vulnerable in Jan / Feb.

There will be a load of people vaccinated by the end of Feb though, and the pressure to open things up will grow you’d think. Mad as it may seem now.

Yeah in Ireland they’re talking summer before everyone is done but once it gets to 70% you’re basically at ‘back to normal’ levels.

What a f***ing year.

Think we’re now in the realms of not being able to go ‘well it’s these lads’ and that’s excellent news. Keita and Jones with Henderson behind for me I think. Maybe R Williams for Matip.

Yeah I reckon we go with 2-3 "fringe" players (from Keita, Mini, Ox, the Williams brothers) per game for WBA and Newcastle, before going full strength again at Southampton. Hopefully see Thiago, Milner and Shaq available for at least the bench soon enough too

Most people won't be vaccinated before the end of the season. Be surprised if it's more than vulnerable groups & health care staff by the end of Feb

Yes but once the vulnerable and care groups are done I reckon a lot of people will pressure the govt to get crowds back in and get things going again

That would be absolutely f***ing nuts.

Absolutely correct, but people will still demand it. People are still behaving like idiots.  My sister was in an ASDA today and there were loads without masks. Nobody said a word to them.

I thought it was bad here...

Why? I’d assume that it wouldn’t be killing or even hospitalising people at that stage.

Not really sure where to start with this. You're going to need probably 60-70% of the adult population vaccinated before it's safer to think about big crowds anywhere again. If we were to do it earlier people will die needlessly.

I get that people want to go to the match again, hell I'd love to be able to run my business properly again, but it's got to be safe to do that. You need to write off at least the rest of this season for any kind of normality

You might be right. I think a lot of things will opened by March, and maybe closed and locked down a couple more times after that if ICU’s start to get rammed.

I very much hope I'm wrong, sadly I don't think I will be.
