Gethin Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 Live on Jurgen's favourite channel, BT Sport. Expect us to go as full strength as possible but god knows what that means especially in midfield. Milner playing 3 games in 7 days is probably a bit of an ask, so wonder if we go with all 4 of Jota, Mo, Mane and Bobby again?
Alonso Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 Mane playing 90 last night wasn’t ideal either. Wonder if it’ll be Jota firmino salah to start as we’ll also want mane for a large chunk v Ajax on Tuesday as well.
Cunny Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 I expect Mane on the bench after playing 90 last night, maybe Gini too if we can get another midfielder or two fit.
Hassony Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 Adrian TAA. Matip Fabhino Robbo Hendo Gini Thiago Salah Bobby Jota 1
Gethin Posted November 26, 2020 Author Posted November 26, 2020 (edited) Think the only certainties on the team sheet are Allison ? Fab Matip Robbo ? ? ? ? Bobby Jota Edited November 26, 2020 by Gethin
Swipe Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 Milner has to go RB. Annoying he played 90 mins last night but he has to go there, especially if Jones ends up playing. He looked great with Milner's help on that side, but wobbly when Williams is there. Be nice if Hendo and Thiago were available.
Hassony Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 Milner was great against Leicester, but I still don't want to see him starting again in midfield for us He'll be ok at RB if he starts there
Hightown Phil Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 Alisson, Milner, Matip, Fabinho, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Jones, Jota, Firmino, Salah. Maybe.
Gethin Posted November 26, 2020 Author Posted November 26, 2020 I'd be very happy with that if Hendo's good to go. I just can't see Milner being able to be effective for a 3rd game in 7 days but he'll probably have to give it a go

PaulMcC186 Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 That team is fine for one more game. Really need players back after it.
Gethin Posted November 26, 2020 Author Posted November 26, 2020 I just hope some of the injured midfield players are close to being available again soon.
Sion Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 Lots saying Mane might be rested but I can't see it. He's our most important player for me. Take him off after 60 if need be, but he has to play.

PaulMcC186 Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 I think we need to rest Mane. He's rarely injured but he has had a few muscles with us.
Jarg Armani Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 He looked goosed last night, and it's already Thursday. He can come on and win the game a la Norwich.
Big Red Machine Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 We also have the ballache of playing Ajax on the following Tuesday If we don't start getting the likes of Hendo and Thiago back we're going to be f***ed. We could looking at playing Milner, Gini and Jones 4 games in 9 days
Swipe Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 (edited) We haven’t won an away game in the league since Chelsea. I hope we stop that run on Saturday. Don’t @ me. Edited November 26, 2020 by Swipe
Dan Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 I think it will be a genuine struggle on Saturday; especially if no Hendo/Thiago. Will really have to dig it out.
Swipe Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 It's my birthday on Saturday. Anything but a win is not acceptable. This from Ian Doyle's Q&A thing on the echo: 'Henderson, Thiago and Ox seem the nearest to being recovered at present. But as for whether they are ready for Brighton, the reality is Klopp doesn't even know until he is given the nod by his medical team. But they are all a lot, lot nearer to being back. It won't be long.' 1
Cunny Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 I feel like I've been reading that about Thiago since before the original lockdown
Swipe Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 He went on to say Thiago's injury was worse than they initially thought and he'll obviously need to build up fitness again. Also reckons AOC is pretty close to a return. Just now, Cunny said: I feel like I've been reading that about Thiago since before the original lockdown I can only imagine it genuinely was a week by week thing and every week it just hadn't settled enough. Surely they'd have said 'he'll be out 6 weeks' if they knew.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 (edited) If I'm Gini, I'm pointing at all 3 of them, swinging that finger wildly so they are in no doubt each of them is being addressed, and I'm telling them that they're doing the f*kin' Christmas and New Year shifts this year given the overtime that has been put in already !
