Cam Posted November 22, 2020 Posted November 22, 2020 Right, who's still standing? Play Elton and ten others.
psl Posted November 22, 2020 Posted November 22, 2020 I'd really rather neither Matip or Fabinho played but someone has to.
Big Red Machine Posted November 22, 2020 Posted November 22, 2020 I assume one of Fabinho or Matip will be rested But you'd also want to rest Robbo
Gethin Posted November 22, 2020 Posted November 22, 2020 So.... Definitely out: Trent, VVD, Gomez, Phillips (not in squad) Probably out: Keita Could make it: Hendo, Thiago, Ox, Shaqiri, Mo

Milly starting two games in 4 days is an ask and you'd think Rhys Williams might start so you'd end up with a back four of Williams (N), Williams (R), Matip or Fab, Tsimikas Can\t see Jurgen doing that
Big Red Machine Posted November 22, 2020 Posted November 22, 2020 Think it will something like Allison Milner Matip R Williams Tsimikas Jones Hendo Gini Salah Origi Jota Klopp loves throwing Origi in when it's not expected so thats my random guess. Maybe more likely to be Minamino...

Hightown Phil Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 Would take one of Matip and Fabinho out and play Neco Williams right back too. We get beat, we get beat. We need to manage the squad here and prioritise games. Alisson, Williams, Williams, Matip, Tsimikas, Milner, Wijnaldum, Jones, Salah, Minamino, Jota. Would ideally like to take Milner out if there’s *someone* available.
Swipe Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 We'll rest a few, and still beat them. Salah back in would be very handy.
Guy_Incognito Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 No Matip, Robertson or Milner if we can get away with it. Sub Mane on 60
Big Red Machine Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 When is TAA due back? I assume Neco and Milner will each play one of the next two

McBain Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 I'd pick my Brighton team first then work backward 1
Gethin Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 16 minutes ago, McBain said: I'd pick my Brighton team first then work backward All depends on how many midfielders we get back available really - could see any of Hendo, Ox, Thaigo and Shaqiri depending on how close they are. If we don't get any of them then it means Neco at RB and Milly having to play 3 games on the bounce. Mo being back would *really* help as at least would give us the option of playing 2MF with Mo, Mane, Jota & Bobby up front. Would hope to see Tsimikas play at least one of the games
growler Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 5 subs too - can see that being utilised for 3 subs at half time. Robbo maybe? Thiago, hendo and salah to come on to get minutes in legs ready for weeekend?
PaulMcC186 Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 I think we might play Salah. He hasn't played in over 2 weeks now
Sion Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 Surely the argument here is go all out for the win and get qualification in the bag. If we're 2 or 3 up by the hour mark pull the main men off. Then we've basically got 2 full midweek offs then for anyone we want.
Tommok Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 (edited) Really really hope Thiago can play in this one. Irritating as f*** to see Richarlison play this weekend whilst Thiago still can't Edited November 23, 2020 by Tommok
Dan Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 Don't think Matip can play two games in a week so he'll be rested. 1
Jarg Armani Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 Maybe we scared them so much in the first game they won't bother turning up

Will you be including Matip in this plan? 2

Do you still bring them off for the rest they need? It’s a really tight turnaround to Saturday and if we draw or lose and beat Brighton then great. 54 minutes ago, growler said: 5 subs too - can see that being utilised for 3 subs at half time.
