ROTATE

They are not as bad as Atalanta result suggests. Physically strong, good set pieces and several fast dangerous attackers. So may be small rotation but doubt Klopp ll make wholesale changes.

Presumably Klopp II is his little lookalike physio lad? Is he in charge for this then?

no - but we've just played, we're at home to the weakest team in the group (on seeding) and have West Ham on Sat. November is a brutal month so need to go into that with legs

What are we thinking here? Feels like we should probably make some changes but we also don't really want to risk not winning cos it makes things harder further down the line.

Would probably go Alisson, Trent, Fabinho, Gomez, Tsimikas, Wijnaldum, Milner, Jones, Jota, Minamino, Mane.

Then with the 5 subs if things aren't looking great we can bring Salah, Firmino. Hederson etc etc on.

That looks about right - not sure if Tsimikas is fit, so maybe play Robbo and give Neco a game if not. As you say, strong 9 player bench with 5 subs gives you a lot more options

Get Thiago straight in if he’s ready.

He was playing football in the house with his kid yesterday so if he says his knee is still giving him gyp, he’s a liar.

Haha. Only thing is, we've got three pretty difficult games lined up next week and we could do with him playing in all three I think.

Sounds like his kid is available as well though so we could rotate them.

Ha! I supported a vulnerable client at work a couple of weeks back at the Post Office. He'd been in and was refused service - he said for no reason. As I crossed the road with him to go back in he says to me out of the blue "if he says I called him a tw*t he's lying".

Play a balanced team, put the game to bed early. Been a while since we started right. I’d look to use this to make it happen. Then high rotation at half time. It’s at home so no travel and Tuesday game, so extra day. And if we win, 6 points from first 2 is a result.

Yeah that’s fair. Just desperate for him to get going. Could defo see Milner getting a game here anyway.

I think Milner is going to captain our midweek CL team until we get through the group stages

Probably does tomorrow but I doubt Henderson isn't playing against Atalanta.

Keita has a worse fitness record than lovren

Back to Leipzig in the Upamecano deal.

I know he’s young and most of the rest of the midfield is the wrong side of 26 but there has to be a point when we just accept he isn’t going to get better.

What a disappointing signing.
