I can't f*cking stand him, his behaviour with that gobby Manc with his daughter in the car notwithstanding his commentary is dreadful and on Sunday I saw the depth of his jealousy and clear resentment at the success of this side we have now. Condemning Joe Gomez with real zeal, criticising the high line with step ups to catch opponents offside despite the very same system with the very same players having brought the glory days back at a level Carragher never saw.

Sunday was an abomination and one of those dreadful days where everything than can go wrong goes wrong, the record clearly shows this, Carragher had a ball, really enjoyed slagging the players off and more revealingly slagging Jurgen's 'system' off. he can f*ck off.

He's celebrated Liverpool win every trophy under Klopp. Doesn't look like he's anything other than happy when we win. He was out on the streets when Liverpool won the league, and it wasn't for publicity.

Very harsh, not sure how you can reconcile seeing the joybour title brought him and hating him for reactionary comments in a bizarre and frustrating game.

Agree with those on here that don't rate him as a commentator,  talks too much. Otherwise he's one of us

He just doesn't shut up...

Tries too hard to sound non biased but goes too far the opposite way and comes across sounding stupid...

I think he's only really good when he's had time to prep what he's saying like he does on Monday Night Football... But during commentary with spontaneity he talks some s***e

Yeah he simply talks too much in commentary.

The best commentators make short punchy comments occasionally whilst the other one very briefly describes the action.

Carra goes off on long diatribes which might be OK in an analysis show but don't work in live game commentary and just get annoying and intrusive.

Sometimes he is speaking for so long, whilst trying to focus on the game, I think he gets distracted and actually forgets what point he's trying to make.

He’s a pain in the hole commentating but decent at the analysis.

Also goes to extreme to try be neutral in his views. He’s better off being slanted as it doesn’t hurt Neville.

This is about the size of it

As everyone else said, he's an annoying commentator, good pundit usually

Never really liked him since his xenophobic comments when Hodgson (+Cole and Konchesky) joined the club

I think he goes out of his way to criticise us during games. Constantly painting things bleakly. He’s overly negative about some aspect of our performance practically every match.

When it went 5-2 it was ridiculous

The fact that he's not affiliating himself with Liverpool fans during commentary is probably means he's doing a good job.

I prefer his analysis during MNF than his commentary but there aren't many good commentators never mind co-commentators around other than Peter Drury probably. I like Neville on co-commentary

They both are.

Imagine being a fan of the opposition when Neville is commentating on Utd games. Spurs beat them 6-1 and Neville is obsessed with the Utd aspect
