Same time Thursday then lads with the 2nd string

Reckon we'll see 9 or 10 changes with the only uncertainty around CB - think we have to play at least one of Gomez and VVD. Something like:

Adrian

Neco 2 CBs Kostos

Curtis Milner Shaq/Wilson

Jota Minamino Divock

Can't see Joe playing 2 games in 4 days coming back after an injury.

Not ideal is it - but the alternative is moving Fab back (and we're short of midfielders already) or playing one of the kids.

Jurgen said it would be the lads who didn't play tonight (I think).

Adrian

Williams Williams vdB Tsimikas

Jones Milner Shaqiri

Elliott Minimino Origi

Which leaves us light at centreback and defensive midfield.  I guess he may do a bit of what he did last week and use Virgil and Fabinho half & half.

Wonder if Koumetio gets a game - think he only didn't play last week as he was an injury doubt.

But yeah - wouldn't be surprised to see the VVD/Fab job-share come out again.

I think Arsenal will go much stronger.  They'll want to beat us to regain some confidence about matching the big boys (glossing over it's our reserves & kids).

Wouldn’t shock me if Grujic played again either.

Yep, forgot about him.  And in fairness he probably deserves to - he did well last week.

They'll definitely play a stronger side than us. Relatively speaking, their players are still s***. Saka, Nketiah, Nelson, Kolasnic, Pepe, Willock, Gabriel, probably all play.

Be ace to win a domestic cup this season as well as the PL.

Players like Shaq and Wilson not being able to get in our best league cup line up means we should be bullish here

They’ve got a game against Sheff Utd three days later. Lose that and Arteta will begin to look vulnerable. I think he will save his best players. Saying that, it’s difficult to pick an 11 for any game out of their squad.

A European one, well not 'a', 'THE' would be ace...

Can see Thiago maybe getting some minutes, defo on the bench to shake any cobwebs

Not unless he’s playing inside one of those zorbs.

some say covid, others say slight knock that will keep him the same amount of time as self isolating does!! ;)

Was just going to ask - there is no official word on his absence, is there ? But is he definitely out of Villa on Sunday ?

Klopp said last night back after the international break.

Yeah it's a really good time to get COVID now. Get everyone round Thiago's gaff like our mums did with chickenpox.
