i'd much prefer we kept this sort of knowledge in house tbh

i guess over time it leaks out anyway when players leave etc but it just seems like if we've gleaned an advantage over our opponents we should keep schtum about it for as long as poss

Easier said than done though given he doesn't work exclusively for us though.

i know and i've said it will come out over time anyway - but we don't need to be telling the press what we're up to, do we?

This is the thing as to why it's pretty difficult to control though isn't it? We aren't. I agree with the theory of what you're saying though.

They seem to confuse Trent

He's got loads better at them. Come a long way from getting booked for time-wasting against City 'cos he was too indecisive with throw-ins in his first full season. And yeah that booking was s***e but it wasn't exactly the first time he'd taken an age over them that year,

To be fair be doesn't give that much away in the article about what how the improvements are actually achieved. Talking about speed and range which is about 90% of what he mentions specifically about the throws themselves is hardly rocket science. Even Tim Sherwood could work that bit out.

There was one against Leeds where he seemed to decide against throwing it to Salah in yards of space because he was standing in what would normally be an offside position.

Only explanation I can think of because it would have put Salah in on goal.

I remember being a bit confused on that one - I thought the rule was that you couldn't be offside from throw but that maybe was there was an exception if you were coming back into play from a previously offside position which I think Mo was on that one. That makes no sense and I'm not sure if there is such a rule but it was the only thing I could think of at the time that could make any sense of the decision.

I think him and Klopp are having a good chuckle cos what's he's done (and I can barely complete this sentence for laughing) is actually tell everyone all the info from the thoroughly debunked  2017 Throw In Manual "Getting You Moving With Both Feet Stuck On The Line". Just watch the hilarity ensue as our opponents throw the ball towards their colleagues' feet as opposed to having a 5 degree variance from their stronger foot.

it's fine - everyone else mocks us for it, all the time we're smashing them all over the field

And he threw it to their player in the same game.

Suppose throwing it to one of their players could be a tactic though couldn't it when you think about it? Throw it to them, press them, win the ball back, you're attacking. No recollection of said incident though.
