Gethin Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 You just got there first. @Nathan Explosioncan you delete the other thread? Ta https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/409171-liverpool-fc-seal-signing-of-diogo-jota-on-long-term-deal
Maharajkumar of Vizianagram Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 I think it might have been someone on here that said Jota would be a better signing from Wolves than Neves and then I watched him next time I watched Wolves play and he was quite good. Might have been someone else though. f*** knows. Anyway, for the club to spend 40m quid when we're teetering on the verge of insolvency, he can't be s***e.
Maharajkumar of Vizianagram Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 I prefer this thread over the other thread. Good title, Gethin. Let's merge them and keep this title.
Gethin Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 Quote He has the speed, he can combine, can defend, can press. It makes it just more unpredictable and gives us real options for different systems because he can play pretty much all three positions up front in a 4-3-3, if we play with four midfielders he can play both wings. Quote from Jurgen - wonder if that's a hint at an alternative system for this year
Jim D Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 Give Michael Edwards a statue. Some of the deals he has pulled off over the past few years have been mind-blowing.
Stanley Leisure Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 Welcome Jota, I will struggle to remember your first name isn’t Diego. What a mad 2 days. Glad we remembered we’re rich. 2

Jürgen Klopp sold 46 players for £380,550,000 Jürgen Klopp bought 26 players for £508,150,000 Turning us from mid table mediocrity into English, European and World Champions. Compare the two squads from when he arrived to today. It's night and day and what he has pulled off transfer wise is unbelieveable. Our squad now is amazing. Still I expect more sales to be happening so that top number will be over 400 million. We've gone from also rans to one of the best teams in the World spending around 100 million quid on transfers. Obviously I want him to be spectacular but if he's a better Shaqiri then great. I know he's a different player to Shaqiri but I mean squad function
Eiler99 Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 Don't know a lot about him but have seen him compared to Bellamy quite a bit today and I liked Bellamy.
muleskinner Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 One of the lads needs to get him into their barbers. Other than that I'm delighted. 1
Stanley Leisure Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 (edited) Comments from Wolves fans under this are nice. Clearly a lot of love for him there. That said, I hope he makes them f*cking miserable by being brilliant for us, I still haven’t forgiven them for the last day of 18/19, the bog-brained s***ehawks. Really enjoyed them going out of the Europa. Only downside is that they weren’t there to see it.
Swipe Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Nerds replying “we’ll look after him at Liverpool” make me sick too. f***ing nerds. 5

It was a monumental, epic show of needlessly snide dullardness. I will never, ever forgive them for it.
