Today should be the parade

You should be there, your mates should be there. I should be there with my kids, watching a bus go through Liverpool. I had today booked off, it was in my calendar as well.

I've never seen Liverpool win the league, the whole journey I've been on with the club has been leading up to this moment. I know there is a bigger picture, but honestly if I knew it was going to end up like this I may not have poured all the emotion I have into the enterprise.

I say I'm okay, when really, I'm really not. I wanted the news papers with the reds on the front and back, I wanted Henderson's shuffle, I wanted the Sky montage. I wanted it all.

Will we ever get that 30 year wait feeling, or is it always destined to elude us?
