Why did the SSL state of the site change to unsecure?

The certificate authority for our SSL certificate, Let's Encrypt, are currently reporting an issue with issued certificates which requires revocation of some existing certificates prior to issuing new certificates.

To avoid this occurring while I'm not around, I've gone ahead and performed the potential required action ahead of time.

Cheers for that - I use LetsEncrypt (vis Krystal) for my business website - good to know about this, fortunately mine was fine
