Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 Can't hold out any longer.... So. Norwich. Bottom & 7 points off safety. Looked a lot better than this on the opening day. Better form than ManU in the last 5 but that's not saying much, they have a record of 1-2-2. 1-4-5 in the last 10. They're 2nd bottom in home form (only Southampton are worse, which is mad given how well the latter have been doing of late). So what do we do? According to Physioroom - Mane, Milner & Shaq are all available for the 15th Yasser & Clyne - no date With an away-day at Atleti coming up, I'd make some changes. I'd play Mane if he's fully recovered; there's no such thing as no-risk but as no-risk as possible. I'd probably have Shaq on the bench - been out too long for a start. I'd even go so far as to give Neco his debut. So bearing in mind we play late, away and a relatively long distance from home and then Tuesday in Madrid so little recovery time (a late Sat followed by a Tues FFS) AlissonWilliams, Gomez, VVD, RobboGini, Keita, OxMane, Bobby, Div Bench Adrian, Matip, Lovren, Milner, Shaq, Gini, Mo But then that means leaving out altogether, Hendo, Lallana, Jones, Trent....
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted February 7, 2020 Author Posted February 7, 2020 Obviously because it's early Friday, I forgot Fab & Minamino...
Hightown Phil Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 Go with the team we're playing in Spain. We take a game to get in to a rhythm after we've had a break.
Big Red Machine Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 We play Atletico (away) on the Tuesday which is terrible organisation all around really. I can't see Mane playing 90. Hopefully he can play the last 30 to give him to some sharpness back. We're normally at our worst after a break in play. So I think Klopp will go full strength for this

You'd have to imagine that some of the next week's training will be focused on Atleti's set up. Norwich at least like to play football and will come at us. Sunday will be travelling which leaves Monday and matchday to think about at Atleti so you'd prefer 1 week to focus on them and 2 days to focus on Norwich. Would love to the way he manages this week with that in mind and if he uses Norwich as a marker for the team that will then line up away in Madrid.

Gethin Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 I'd have thought he'd go slightly weaker against Norwich and Bournemouth with full strength teams against Madrid and Chelsea (albeit with Adrian starting in London)

That might be one of the ways he manages the rotation ahead of those games if we are resting a few. Edited February 8, 2020 by Rory Fitzgerald
Falconhoof Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 It would be lovely for the Norfolk community to beat the best team in the world.Mustard.

Case Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 The Atheti team for me. Which means Hendo at #6. So Gini and Keita the other two.
