cymrococh Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 Think it's worth starting a thread about LFC-related podcasts. Steven Gerrard is on the latest Carra one, still listening to it but some interesting stuff about his development and where he played etc. so far:https://audioboom.com/posts/7473262-steven-gerrard Lots of Neco Williams chat at the beginning on Elis James' latesthttps://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p07zrp2l
dunner74 Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 listened to the Gerrard one earlier, really enjoyed it. Some really interesting stuff on it I thought, especially on his thoughts on managing us.
Gethin Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 (edited) TAW have their Lucas interview from a couple of years ago back up 'cos it's his birthday (free listen) https://www.theanfieldwrap.com/2020/01/taw-classics-lucas-interview/ Edited January 9, 2020 by Gethin

I suppose the ”that Peter Crouch podcast” could be mentioned too. Some good stuff there as well, he still seems a genuinely nice lad. Edited January 9, 2020 by Walrus
Hightown Phil Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 Peter Crouch one is great. Particularly liked him on this week's called Andrew Mariner 'The motherf***ing D.R.E.'
cymrococh Posted January 9, 2020 Author Posted January 9, 2020 I like Crouch but those two people with him are unbearable, the f*cking screechy laugh of the absolute bellend. He talks about rafa, being distant and hard on him etc and how he took it really personally at the time, but looking back he realises its what he needed and helped him become the player he was.

cymrococh Posted January 22, 2020 Author Posted January 22, 2020 More Liverpool chat at the start of the Elis James podcast, w*nking over Virgil Van Dijk and some kind words about Brewster. Great quote from Danny Gabbidon when asked how it would feel to play with Van Dijk "Firstly, if I got a move to Liverpool I'd be buzzing my t*ts off."
charlie clown Posted January 23, 2020 Posted January 23, 2020 That Crouch one, I've never listened to it but it looks so self-congratulatory that I've no interest in it at all. Probably an unfair judgement to make but there's only so much time and I've got other things I'd rather listen to.
cymrococh Posted January 31, 2020 Author Posted January 31, 2020 Paul Merson on the latest Carragher one. Tells a story of when he was at Middlesbrough he was living with Gazza, they'd get back from training at 1 pm, send 5 bellies and Merson's brother out to buy loads of red wine, then play a drinking game where they'd put a load of money on the table, drink pints of red wine, and take a sleeping tablet on the hour every hour. Last one to stay awake kept the money.
Hassony Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 I'm guessing that Merson was talking about this incident regretfully rather than it being a funny antidote
5InIstanbul Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 Colin Murray at home, Sat down with Jurgen for about an hour a few eeks agom around christmas. Its great.

Candystore Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 (edited) The latest Carra podcast is with Michael Owen. They mention quite a few things that I haven’t heard before, especially about Houllier and how his move back from Madrid fell through. Worth a listen Edited February 6, 2020 by Candystore
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 I listened to the Craig Bellamy / Carragher one today, it was good.

I know they were raving about GH but it sounds like he more or less destroyed Owen's career because of anxiety over his job
Hightown Phil Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 I think the Martin Compston one might be the best one so far, which is really odd given some of the people he's had on.
