Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 They're not in great form, Kane is injured but you know that old b******s Mourinho. This will be a tough one. Who's out? LovrenMatipMilnerFabinhoShaqKeitaClyne Spurs - Lloris, Rose, Ndombele, Kane, Davies No f***ing about, City play Sunday at Villa but have the LC midweek vs ManU and then we have 8 days till ManU at Anfield, so 2 games for us between now and the 19th, City have 3 (Tues, Sun, Sat - cue conspiracy theories), United have 4 with the LC & FAC so a win would be boss (as is every win).
cocknose Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Rest the kids, dont want them injured for the FA cup

rednotdead Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Can see Mourinho pulling some look-at-me stunt and having Vertonghen and Dier man-marking Trent and Robbo. They’re shaky at the back, unbalanced in midfield but Son and Lucas are very dangerous.

mofus77 Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Is Naby back for this one? If not, will either start with Lallana or Mina Can't see it, groin usually means a few weeks
Gethin Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Can't see it, groin usually means a few weeks Yeah, I'm not expecting any of Matip, Lovren, Milner, Keita, Fabinho or Shaqiri to be available for this. Which means it almost picks itself. AllisonThe Back 4Hendo, Gini, Lallana or OxThe Front 3 Adrian, Neco, Phillips, Jones, Lallana or Ox, Minamino, Origi
Case Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Thought Shaqiri was close to fitness. Might be available.
Gethin Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Thought Shaqiri was close to fitness. Might be available. Not sure he gets in the squad over any of those if there’s any doubt over his fitness
honourablegeorge Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Thought Shaqiri was close to fitness. Might be available. I had expected a few to be close to ready.

Case Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Not sure he gets in the squad over any of those if there’s any doubt over his fitness Of course, yes. But if fit, you'd expect him to be on the bench I'd have thought, possibly for Minamino/Jones
Gethin Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Of course, yes. But if fit, you'd expect him to be on the bench I'd have thought, possibly for Minamino/JonesWhy risk him - save him to batter the Mancs the week after. Minamino and Jones would be better use of the playing time if that situation arose.
honourablegeorge Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 @GrizzKhan33mOx back ..fab and shaq back to training this week #LFC A few asking about Naby Keita ..apparently 3/4 weeks out with that groin injury #LFC BBC - Martin Atkinson will take charge of #LFC's trip to face #THFC
mofus77 Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 BBC - Martin Atkinson will take charge of #LFC's trip to face #THFC Oh FFS
Case Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Why risk him - save him to batter the Mancs the week after. Minamino and Jones would be better use of the playing time if that situation arose. True enough.
New York Red Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Is Naby back for this one? If not, will either start with Lallana or MinaYou’re right. He doesn’t come back quickly from that injury.
Big Red Machine Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Wonder if he's thinking Ox starts? We're running out of first team midfielders at the moment.
Raj Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Wonder if he's thinking Ox starts? We're running out of first team midfielders at the moment.Fabinho starts training this week apparentlyBut we may go 4231 with Minamino behind Firmino if we are that tight
Nerik Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri could be ready for Tottenham on Saturday. They will return to full training this week. (Neil Jones)
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted January 7, 2020 Author Posted January 7, 2020 Luckily no midweeks for the next couple of weeks as we really have no LB cover for Robbo; I can possibly see Lallana being shoehorned in there if needs be. Laoruci is too raw for Spurs, ManU or Wolves
Barnesy_10 Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri could be ready for Tottenham on Saturday. They will return to full training this week. (Neil Jones)Keep Fabinho in the bank for United I reckon Great to have him back and don't think we need to rush him into the first game.
Hightown Phil Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Would ease him in a bit slower than that myself. Maybe give him 90 in that FA Cup game as his first start unless we lose another centre back in which case he'd have to play there.
