Conrad Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 I'd go full strength for this. Give the lads the next couple of days off. It's going to be another very difficult match and there are 9 days before our next league game after this. I know that poses an issue for everton but we beat them with lallana, shaqiri and origi starting the other week.
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 I’d start Origi, Milner (for a full back), and Keita; and keep Lallana in. Not so much to rest the first XI, but to refresh the team because we look tired.
Begbie Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Yeah think Keita should play and would be ok with resting Robbo and Salah
Conrad Posted December 30, 2019 Author Posted December 30, 2019 I could see Milner coming in for Robertson
Case Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Aye, Robbo looked gone yesterday, but then so did Lallana on 60. And Gini was a cadaver. It's tricky, but I'd be tempted to go AlissonTrent, Gomez, VVD, MilnerHendersonJones, KeitaSalah, Origi, Mane With early subs if possible... Lallana, Bobby, Shaw hopefully....
Gethin Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 They got speedy wingers? That kind of drives whether we can give Robbo a rest
kop205 Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 I’d start Origi, Milner (for a full back), and Keita; and keep Lallana in. Not so much to rest the first XI, but to refresh the team because we look tired.Probably rest Hendo. A fair bit depends on what they plan on doing in the FA Cup game, may be that a few get rested then anyway which gives those who do play on Thursday over a week before the Spurs game. Dunno, we need to find chances to give people a break somehow I suppose.
surf Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Would be nice to see Minamino and give one of the forwards a rest.
psl Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Would be nice to see Minamino and give one of the forwards a rest.He isn't eligible.
Ombudsam Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 I’d play our strongest XI if the medics say it’s ok and change loads for the FA Cup. Gives players a massive rest and Sheff Utd are quality
Ethan Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 He isn't eligible. that's contrary to what Jurgen said yesterday then
psl Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 that's contrary to what Jurgen said yesterday thenIs it? It's just what was said when he signed.

Klopp said "For the next game we’ll maybe have two more players", referring to Minamino and Nat Philips. He's defo not eligible. FA Cup against Everton is the first game he could play and I think he will. Edited December 30, 2019 by Candystore
Rory Fitzgerald Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Who can we pick from ? Defence: TAA, Gomez, VVD, Robertson, Milner as an option - we are missing Lovren, Matip Midfield: Henderson, Wijnaldum, Milner, Keita Lallana - missing Fabinho and AOC Attackers: Mane, Firmino, Salah and Origi - missing Shaqiri Curtis Jones has played 14mins this season and then you are into Brewster, Harvey Elliot, Van Den Berg, Hoever Realistic options are: Milner for Robertson, Keita for Wijnaldum and Origi for one of the front 3.
Cunny Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 We looked flat and leggy yesterday.I think there will have to be changes for this.Origi, Keita and Milner will have to start.Such a shame that Fabinho, OX, Shaq, Brewster, Lovren and Matip are all injured at the very worst time.
Gethin Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 If we had another fit CB I'd rest Virgil.I wouldn't for this game but would for the Everton game. I hate that we've drawn them 'cos we need to take it more seriously than I think we'd like to Thankfully after that, even though the next few games are hard, there's decent gaps between them for some rest.
RedLars Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Maybe consider Williams or Hoever against the ev.
Hightown Phil Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Maybe consider Williams or Hoever against the ev. If we're resting players, do it against Sheffield United. Why are we resting against Everton?
Ombudsam Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 (edited) If we're resting players, do it against Sheffield United. Why are we resting against Everton?Cos it’s the FA Cup and they are less good than Sheff Utd Edited December 30, 2019 by sammy & a
RedLars Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 If we're resting players, do it against Sheffield United. Why are we resting against Everton?Honestly, 3 points against Sheffield is more important than the FA cup in my opinion.
Hightown Phil Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Honestly, 3 points against Sheffield is more important than the FA cup in my opinion. We'll cope if we drop points against Sheffield United. If we lose against Everton we can't win the cup, and if we draw then we get another f***ing game, which is the absolute worst.

Do think dropping points against Sheffield at home would be a very bad start to a very tough January.
