I thought he was about to become our first choice left back just before he signed for Leeds and we bought Ziege.

As I recall he’d just been given the number 3 squad number but never got the chance to wear it.

I had a few drinks with him one afternoon. I saw him get out of a taxi. He ripped a twenty in half and gave it to the driver saying he’d give the other half to him if he came and picked him up later.

 

Part of me hopes he did the same thing to the surgeon.
