Bootser Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 What’s the beef there? Thought Sterling was incredibly fortunate not to get booked on Sunday. He was rattled and desperate to score.. I think the wee bollix would have done a couple of laps of the pitch had he scored. Which, obviously is all the sweeter. Great chant from Sunday. “There’s only one greedy b*****d ....”.
Raj Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 Hes a f***ing bellend - Sterling that is.Thats pretty much it
Cam Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 Well I heard that Gomez is one of Sterling's five kids by six different mothers.
RedHarvest Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 It was Sturridges influence that corrupted them both
Ombudsam Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 We've all been there haven't we. Probably feels a bit silly.
Hassony Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 Have we? I don't remember grabbing a work colleague by the neck and scratching his face before Lucky that he's still in the squad tbh
Ombudsam Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 Have we? I don't remember grabbing a work colleague by the neck and scratching his face before Lucky that he's still in the squad tbh Obviously you're a snivelling Beta and Sterling is a roaring Alpha
Swipe Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 It's embarrassing more than anything for Sterling. The whole thing reads like it's scripted. "still think you're the big man" Everyone laughs, so he scratches Gomez' eye, then runs to his room to pack his bags, only to be talked out of it by Henderson. f*** me. What a little gobs***e he is. He'll do a lengthy puff-piece of an interview on it soon.
Hassony Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 Obviously you're a snivelling Beta and Sterling is a roaring AlphaA roaring alpha that scratches like a girl
cymrococh Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 Apparently the scratch happened when they were being separated, so not directly from Sterling
Beardsley Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 Would be too bad if Gomez went all in in a tackle on Sterling...
stressederic Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 Story in the Guardian where Sterling is apparently whining that Southgate overreacted: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/nov/12/joe-gomez-scratch-right-eye-raheem-sterling-clash
Stanley Leisure Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 It's embarrassing more than anything for Sterling. The whole thing reads like it's scripted. "still think you're the big man" Joe Gomez is quite a big man, so the joke's on Sterling again.
Cobs Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 Story in the Guardian where Sterling is apparently whining that Southgate overreacted: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/nov/12/joe-gomez-scratch-right-eye-raheem-sterling-clash he possibly did but from an England perspective 1) Club rivalries have been cited in the past as a problem so nipping this in the bud (if he's achieved that) makes some sense2) this could be a needed wake up call for Sterling. We've seen hot-headedness cost us previously in international tournaments - Beckham/Rooney. Sterling is going to be a target cos he's good and he's easy to wind up. Needs to keep that temper in check.
Barnesy_10 Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 Apparently the scratch happened when they were being separated, so not directly from SterlingApparently it came from Sterling's jewellery Think Southgate has done the right thing... Can't behave like that and no chance it was going to be kept quiet as it would have been leaked at some point.
Bigal Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 he possibly did but from an England perspective 1) Club rivalries have been cited in the past as a problem so nipping this in the bud (if he's achieved that) makes some sense2) this could be a needed wake up call for Sterling. Barnesy_10 Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 Did Sterling get a red card in an England friendly after a nark with Valencia? Or am I dreaming thatYeah, he did.. Few years back now vs Ecuador He has that narky side to him.
oakie bob Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 all our fault https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50404849
Swipe Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 Trevor Sinclair was saying the same on Talksport (I saw a tweet about it). He was trying to insinuate something. Sterling of course being the first player to ever get booed when he goes back to the club he left acrimoniously.
Barnesy_10 Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 Haha typical of Rose to speak up.... f***ing whinging prick
Duncan Disorderly Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 all our fault https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50404849Seriously? I bet he got paid for that piece too.
drdooom Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 I don't even dislike him at all when he's not stamping on Virgils foot.
Ombudsam Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 all our fault https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50404849 What part of"It's probably the first time I have sat back and actually realised and took note of how much the Liverpool fans dislike him," Rose told BBC Radio 5 Live."I take that for granted whenever I'm watching Raheem. I think he just gets on with it and maybe it had a part to play in whatever happened." is inaccurate. We give him s*** to get into his head, why would you carp when someone says "The s*** you gave him got in his head"
Cobs Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 (edited) What part of is inaccurate. We give him s*** to get into his head, why would you carp when someone says "The s*** you gave him got in his head" i'm surprised it's the first time he's noticed we give him s*** - but the idea that the grief we give him is the reason for him having a go at an England team-mate a day later is bolllocks Edited November 13, 2019 by Cobs
Billy Talbot Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 It's completely contradictory isn't it? Raheem just gets on with it, but Liverpool fans ****ed him up, so maybe that played a part. Either he gets on with it, or he lets it get to him. Can't have it both ways.
