I think we tend not to win match threads I start but causation isn’t correlation and although I’m terrified it’s only cos this is game could really see us break them and set ourselves up as the team of the season.

Can’t see it as we don’t run too far ahead of our target ever and if we do win this league, it will be be in a far more human way that reflects Klopp.

We’ll either absolutely f*cking snot them or lose narrowly.

I wish we could do a peak 17-18 performance. Don’t get me wrong, we’re well better now but it would be great just to rattle a great team to their core before defending like last season.

So basically be perfect. Can you do that boys?

Interesting selection choice for this match for both teams.

If Rodri is our for them then Guardiola has to decide between playing Fernandinho in defence with Stones (as he has been doing) but losing that midfield screen, or pushing him forward and hoping that Stones & Otamendi work together.

For us that means there’s a midfield decision to be made. The obvious choice is Fabinho, Gini, and Henderson. However, if they don’t have Fernandinho in there then someone like Oxlade-Chamberlain could make a real difference running in space at their back line.

Klopp has overthought it a few times recently against them and tried to do something radical, I hope we just go out and play our game. They'll give us chances, we'll probably give them some too though given our current tendency to try and make games interesting by switching off for minutes at a time.

For the first time I can remember if he plays anything other than the midfield I will go spare.

It would be a shame if there was a contested ball near the halfway line and someone accidentally booted it into Peps noggin, then fell and face planted on him and shat thier pants, that would be awful.

Apart from that, 2-0 to the REDS please.

I remember when we beat these in 2014 and parts of my body were shutting down or developing their own sentience during the game. Came to nowt but f*** me that Coutinho winner and the final whistle, if life’s about moments...

We'll win 5-0

If they get nil I'll be going out for a week. Where was it people were going to in 2014? The Croc or somewhere?

Lets just settle for a win and debate the location after.

They won't fancy seeing Ox on the teamsheet after what he did in the CL game. I'd start him as well.

Bit worried about Lovren at the back dropping a clanger, but I think Mo will be really up for this and could be the difference.

Yeah this. Not often we get to go at them when they have a weakened defence so go for the jugular. Make no allowances for what they might do, just play our own game.

A week or so ago I was confident but I'm having a wobble. If we start sharp up front and knock of the lazy s*** at the back it's game on. I'm worried how many chances we are giving teams though and these c**** won't need many. Big decision on whether or not Ox starts, can see the fors and againsts.
