Liverpool FC v Arsenal FC - 30 Oct - 1930 (Milk Cup)

Game's on Sky

So how second choice do you reckon we go for this?

Adrian,

?, Gomez, Lovren, Milner,

Lallana, Keita, Ox,

Divock, Brewster, ?

Worth noting that if we do win, the next round is meant to be played when we're at the Club World Cup. Looking at dates when we could play that and the postponed WHU league game - 14th Jan, 4 Feb and 2 of the 4 midweek dates reserved for the CL R16 in Feb & March are the only times we're not currently scheduled to play twice a week

Oh, that's crap

Start Gomez at right back then, with the other young dutch back at CB

The Van Den Berg debut. Long time since we've had a new Robert Ludlum novel on here.

Adrian; Gomez, Fabinho, Lovren, Milner; Lallana, Keita, Ox; Brewster, Origi, Jones.

Yeah, looks decent, do we have anyone possibly for LB and keep Milner for midfield ?

What other players are available, Shaqiri, Chirivella and Harvey Elliot ? Anyone know whats going on with Clyne after his injury in pre-season ?

Clyne's done for the season isn't he? Or at least he won't be fit to train until next year so has pretty much no hope of playing for us again (think he's OOC at the end of the season)

If he's fit he probably plays for someone else anyway I think.

Can't see any team even taking him on loan if he's rehabing an injury. Hinders him getting a new contract somewhere next season as well

Mo (ankle) and VVD (dead leg) picked up knocks yesterday so I reckon neither features in this one - they'd probably have been rested anyway

Meant more if he hadn't have got injured to be honest. Couldn't really see us keeping him - thus far, he'd never have been on the bench and the most he'd have done would be maybe playing at MK Dons. Which is counterproductive in itself given Hoever played.

Ah yeah - he'd have been nailed on to go out on loan for the year if it hadn't happened.
