magneto Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 (edited) Absolutely massive fixture after 2 weeks off for the international break. It appears on the face of it that we'll have almost everyone back for this fixture. Mo has had the full 2 weeks to recover from the Leicester knock and should be available. Alisson also expected to return, Trent hasn't payed since Leicester despite being on International duty. Naby has also had extra time off. They're expecting a whole host of players to return including Martial, Wan Bissaka, Shaw and Pogba. A reminder of the fixture in February which was a strange one as there were so many first half subs from them and Bobby also came off injured. I've read that Man U have some impressive defensive stats in terms of conceding shots this year. Going forward though, it appears the only chances they do create is from set pieces. Either way, it's going to be a tough fixture as Klopp has never won at Old Trafford, and we've won only once since 2014. My team? Barnesy_10 Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 (edited) Not sure Pogba will be back. Think he was ruled out wasn't he with a broken toe? We f***ing owe them a pasting that's for sure.. The gulf in quality on the pitch justifies us twatting them. Last seasons match there still pisses me off as we showed too much respect, especially second half, and let them off big time. Would be great to match City's record too and then t*** Spurs to beat it Edited October 15, 2019 by Barnesy_10
quibs Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 Theres no way Keita startsReckon Milner starts instead.
Alonso Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 Depends how fresh those who have been on international duty are. Were could decide to go with those who didn’t play any international footy and see Fabinho Milner and oxlade. Fabinho did travel but didn’t play any minutes
cocknose Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 Cant see Henderson starting after playing both games for ingerlund
Conrad Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 last night was practically a training session it will be henderson or milner. that's the only issue really, assuming matip fit
Stanley Leisure Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 We need to win, but we we need them to lose heroically so he stays in the job a bit longer.
Stevie H Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 We need to win, but we we need them to lose heroically so he stays in the job a bit longer. A controlled 2-0 win with us having about 70% possession is fine by me.
growler Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 (edited) First of a serious set of fixtures. We got 2 CL games, arsenal in league cup, spurs United and city in league which means we have to win the other. Basically need to win all 7. Edited October 15, 2019 by growler
RBM Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 We need to win, but we we need them to lose heroically so he stays in the job a bit longer.I want to destroy them, destroy them so badly they never recover
Benzo-13 Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 It’s gonna be close but as one of the lads on TAW said, we need to go 1-0 up. Manage the game from a position of advantage.
Cam Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 (edited) No way is Klopp starting an away game at the Mancs without Henderson. Cam Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 wheres Divock? he injured?Feck, forgot about him. From hero to zero in four months
Barnesy_10 Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 Feck, forgot about him. From hero to zero in four months haha fair play Aside from him we have no real threat from the bench. We really could do with some quality attacking options on the bench in January
Sion Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 Draw wouldn't be the end of the world here. We're not gonna win all 38 and this is probably our third toughest game, even with the state of their team.

Sion Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 It really isn't, they're absolutely atrociousOur record at old Trafford is absolutely atrocious. They're game raisers as we saw last year and they'll be back up close to full strength. I think 90 points wins the league this year. We can afford to drop points in a few hard away games.

We can afford to drop points in a few hard away games.they were terrible at Old Trafford last season, which made our performance there all the more unforgivable. the 3 changes first half just threw the game into some weird other universe. Sturridge coming on early was a lifeline for them
Dan Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 They will raise their game for sure. Early goal will kill them off though I reckon.
Cobs Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 I want to destroy them, destroy them so badly they never recover give them a hiding that haunts them forever though i'm expecting the usual of us playing like fannies and losing 1-0
psl Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 I want us to go all out from the first minute. Blitz mode. Their confidence is low, they have players out or coming back etc. Try and get an early goal to take the sting out of the crowd, deflate the players who may be expecting the worst anyway and then turn the screw.
