magneto Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 I see a bit of rotation for this match. Milner due a run out, Hendo came on as a sub on Saturday so possibly those two start. I'd like Trent to get a bit of a rest, and possibly have Milner at right back. Shaqiri also needs a proper run out, so might actually start. Difficult one to choose
Big Red Machine Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Was surprised milner didn't start on Saturday so think he's a cert Henderson-Fab-Milner midfield I'd imagine.
magneto Posted September 16, 2019 Author Posted September 16, 2019 That was our starting lineup last year when they battered us (we were lucky only to concede 1). Keita came off and I think we were okay till he was subbed. Fabinho, Hendo and Sturridge came on later.
Conrad Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 I expect Gomez will start at right back Henderson and Milner alongside Fabinho Rest gini and TAA for Chelsea

Gerry Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 We can't possibly play as badly as we did in the same fixture last year. It's literally impossible.
Hightown Phil Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 (edited) Adrian, Gomez, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Milner, Henderson, Salah, Mane, Firmino is what I'm expecting we get. Maybe Matip instead of Lovren, but I think there's a Lovren appearance coming. Edited September 16, 2019 by Hightown Phil
D.Boon Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Presumably there's f*** all chance of seeing Keita kick a football in this ?
Swipe Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 (edited) Presumably there's f*** all chance of seeing Keita kick a football in this ?I don’t think he actually exits. He’s some sort of Tyler Durden-esque manifestation of all of our desires for a certain kind of midfielder. Edited September 16, 2019 by Swipe

Bootle Buck Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Seen on a few places that Robbo won't be starting tommorow. Apparently has a knock

Redwire Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Seen on a few places that Robbo won't be starting tommorow. Apparently has a knock He was limping for a large chunk of the first half on Saturday. Looked a bit better after half time.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 no f***ing way Gomez at RB Hendo didn't come on as a sub on Sat, they were Bobby, Milner, Shaq. Go strong, bounce into Chelsea then start the rotation for the LC game & subsequent league games + Salzburg (H)

Go strong, bounce into Chelsea then start the rotation for the LC game & subsequent league games + Salzburg (H) I'd play the weakest team in this game myself. If we win 6-0, we need to beat Salzburg and Graz twice, if we lose? Same again. I wouldn't even have put Firmino on a plane.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 I know where you're coming from; but we all want to win every game there is

growler Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 I know where you're coming from; but we all want to win every game there isNot to mention the top players want to play champions league games. It’s the opening one. Our toughest one. We are going strong in this I reckon. Maybe 1-2 changes and will early subs.
Gunga Din Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 we've no game til Sunday and I wouldnt imagine any of the first team are involved against MK after that. Go strong in this. win. keep the momentum going for the trip to Chelsea on Sunday. If we win tomorrow thats us more or less qualified because the other 2 teams in the group are utter s***e
Tobes Rafa Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 Can't believe I'm going to be on a plane while this is on. First game of our defence. Frustrating!
