Michael Palin

[New York Red]

I read today that he was knighted. While I can’t stand those tawdry awards and think they are a symbol of a nonsensical hierarchy, I can’t help but feel pleased for Palin.

 

I’m old enough to remember when Monty Python was a current show and would eagerly await new seasons and I always thought that Palin was by far the best of the group. He played so many brilliant and different parts as well as having fantastic comic timing.

 

The travel shows that he has made since have been brilliant too. I think they’ve shown what a really nice guy he is. Honestly, I can’t think of a nicer celebrity. I hope nobody comes up with some dirt on him, shattering my image.
