Not necessarily a match thread - but over from the Barca one where everyone's discussing travel etc...

 

I heard that you get 12 subs for this (now) - anyone heard the same? I know the new laws about handball etc come into play for it. Nothing like UEFA to have the final played under a different set of laws to the rest of the competition

Pressure is on for this. Players will know we have to win after the final last year and this season.

 

We have a f***ing good team though. Just hope they can get it done.

12 into 11 doesn't go.

If ManU had beaten Huddersfield & Cardiff - as you'd expect even they could do - then Spurs would have been relying on Erickson's equalizer today to get 4th. They've been dire for the last 2 months. 19 defeats this season

Can't see that. Once in a lifetime shot for them. Underdogs. We will be expected to win and know we can't keep losing finals.

Pressure is all on us here, close to a free hit as it get's for them. Can't stand these. They outplayed us in the 2nd half at Anfield. f***ing hate them.

Spurs will feel like their name is on it, given how they've got to the final.

 

They are strong, well managed and have plenty of goals in their front 3. They have played well against us several times recently and will see this as a one off shot at all time glory, being the first Spurs team to win the European Cup.

 

Conversely, we are better than them. In fact we are one of the best teams in the world. We have quality throughout and a team who will be determined to win the trophy, having missed out on a league title despite accumulating 97 points and a European Cup last year in bizarre fashion.

 

We should win but it's going to be tough.
