Surprised there's no thread already - we not arsed about "Big Ears" then? :)

No Robbo for this, be stunned if he chucked Mo**no in, so I reckon Milly to LB. Gini looks like he needs a rest, so something like

Allisson

TAA Matip VVD Milner

Fabinho Hendo Keita

Usual front 3

Gomez to play some time at LB off the bench?

Gini in for Keïta who didnt do much to show he deserves a start.

Apart from the fact that he had a better game than Gini on Friday and Gini has looked knackered lately

Keïta was marginally better on Friday but Wijnaldum has been streets ahead all season

Can Keita actually play that left sided position?

Are we going to keep playing him there while wondering if he needs to be played central but afraid to do so because his form shows he doesn’t warrant it, even though said form was accumulated out of position?

Hmm that sounded a bit passive aggressive

I don’t have an axe to grind atm but I’d like to see him getting a chance to flourish or be binned off

He scored, he looked the happiest he's been since he's been here, Gini looks exhausted

Play Keita and save Gini for Chelsea, it's a no brainer really

All the more reason to give Keita a game. Wijnaldum has been in the side week in and week out and I think his form is now suffering. Keita did better than him the other night and is fresher. Allows him to build on Friday whilst also potentially allowing Gini to come back stronger as we're going to need him. Who has been better over the season isn't really relevant in terms of what we've got in front us right now.

Wijnaldum has been poor for way over a month now. He just isn't actually doing a great deal on a football pitch. Would give him a week off.

It’s been a few months, aside from the odd game.

I think we’ll have made progress if he starts fewer games next season.

Based on Friday night that would be Fabinho deep and Hendo further forward

I think next season we might see a lot of Fabinho and Henderson together with one of Keita and Chamberlain. Sometimes one of of Henderson and Fabinho with the two, and then we see Wijnaldum and Mliner flit in and out wherever they're needed. Quite a nice level of depth.

Would be nice to add someone like Fekir to the equation

I think Gini is suffering the after effects of being ill a few weeks ago. Came back strong but will have been exhausting. Sure he’ll be fine but Tuesday would be ideal to rest him.

this could be a game to rest 1 or 2 of the front 3, play Origi from the start maybe with Shaq

I doubt it. If the game goes in our favor, you rest players in the 2nd leg.

We've been lucky in drawing arguably the weakest team left in the competition. We don't want to be levelling out any advantage we may have.

smash these out of sight and hopefully be in a position to rotate a few for the away leg

Not really our modus operandi this season that. Fully expecting a grind it out 2 nil win.

I'd give Keita another start. At some point we have to give him enough games to see if it's going to work out. As others said Gini is in poor form anyway. Fab and Hendo behind Keita.

Fairly early on against Saints Keita twice lost possession and they were in on goal as a result. You can see why Klopp thinks he is not quite ready. He will be fine but some players need just that little bit longer to adjust to the mental pace here.
