Tesla/electric cars

Has anyone got one of these? Have been thinking seriously about moving onto a Tesla or electric car but concerned there are insufficient charging ports in this country and the infrastructure isn't quite there yet. Also are the cars themselves reliable? How long do the batteries last (looking 2nd hand as the cost of the model X brand new is mad).

 

I know I could probably Google the above but that wouldn't be any fun would it?
