Terrible move by Klopp letting Clyne go in the middle of an injury crisis in the position he was covering. Now we have older slow midfielders having to cover and as a result teams are are attacking and getting in behind on that side, causing us loads of problems and making us look vulnerable where once we looked rock solid.

I think this might be a fairly comfortable win for us - three or four goals minimum.

 

They've lost their last three but they're at home to the best side in the country, so whilst they'll probably try to keep it tight for the first 20 minutes, one of two things should happen :

1 ) They'll fail, as their defence is porous and confidence is fragile. We'll score early and they'll buckle.

2 ) It will remain 0-0 but their indiscipline will begin to force them to push out, mistakenly believing they can get a result.

 

We'll react positively to the Leicester result, we have quality players retuning to full fitness and it's possible City will drop more points at home to Arsenal

 

1 point against Leicester is disappointing, but 4 pts against Leicester and West Ham and extending our lead over City...marvellous

You can play a midfielder and be less defensively secure, or you can play Clyne and be inferior offensively. Really is swings and roundabouts. If I was manager of a team playing a Liverpool team with Clyne in, I'd spend the entire game trying to get Liverpool to pass to him, wouldn't even bother marking him.

Think it's unfortunate that we've played Palace and Leicester during this period. You aren't facing Gray or Zaha every week. Trent, Gomez, Milner, Henderson and Comacho is fine. Missing three players from one position is something you can't always mitigate, besides it could be that Clyne didn't want to stay.

To suggest that it's makes little difference who we play there is a bad joke. Winning the league is about little advantages, those slight details are the difference between winning and drawing, being champs or coming second. It matters believe it or not and it was a fairly obvious issue at the time Clyne was let go. It's very poor decision making and one that might still cost us.

you just said that the league wont be decided by a player playing a handful of games in the last 6months, what about Origi, what about Macheda etc... yeah it matters whether you would like to admit it or not is irrelevant.

If you're using Gray as an example of a tricky player then most teams will have someone similar. On Monday they've got to cope with Felipe Anderson. And the week after that they've got Bournemouth with Wilson, Brooks and Fraser
