Suicide and bullying

It is a truly terrible thing, no matter who decides to take their life. It's always some terrible story of victimization, abuse or mental illness that is the root cause of it.

 

But there is one thing that I have noticed recently is a number of little kids who have taken their lives. It is always as a result of bullying. It makes me so angry when people talk about it just being kids messing about, or that others should just toughen up etc. But to picture the heartbreak and sadness of the likes of this little boy and loads of others is something that I have a really terrible time with. It's truly awful and for a parent it is the worst thing that could ever happen.

 

Bullying is absolutely awful. It is taken too lightly by too many. I hope the word spreads that this is always unacceptable in every case and there should be no tolerance for it whatsoever. Parents doing it may be easier to identify, but the kids doing it is in some respects even worse.
