Buttles Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 (edited) After being a permie employee for 20 years I took the plunge and started my own Ltd company to work as an IT contractor. Now into my second year and second contract, loving the freedom, but keen to make sure I’m playing by the rules. Out to lunch yesterday with the team, two of which were adamant that I am breaking the law by claiming mileage. I live about 25 miles away from work. Seems it’s all around the ‘normal place of work’ and ‘temporary workplace’. I’ve been told by someone else that as my normal place of work is my registered business address (my home), claiming mileage for trips to my client site is fine. Obviously within a 2 year maximum. Not sure which way to view it. Edited December 20, 2018 by Buttles
