pipnasty Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 I've just starting reading one of Alexei Sayle's autobiographical books and I thought about the whole 80's alternative comedy thing. We were all probably the right kind of age to appreciate it although I have to admit that many of the jokes on The Young Ones were lost on me until many years later. I also realised far too late that Rik was the best character and had nearly all of the good lines. So maybe I wasn't the right age to appreciate it. Used to love Alexei Sayle though. So, what was good? What was bad? Ben Elton, eh?
