PhilM Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 Torres played more games for Chelsea than he did for us. He scored twelvety times as many goals for us though.
Maldini Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 Sturridge starting his first CL game last night was a head melter

kop205 Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 Sturridge starting his first CL game last night was a head melter First for us?
cymrococh Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 First for us?His first start, previously only been a sub I think.
Hightown Phil Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 In 08/09, Tevez, Rooney and Ronaldo started four league games together.
kop205 Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 His first start, previously only been a sub I think.Yeah, that is a bit mad then, had it in my head he'd started for Chelsea
Stevie H Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 patrick kluivert and ruud van nistelrooy were born on exactly the same day, july 1st 1976. but one of their careers kind of seemed to be over just as the other's was starting.
PhilM Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 John Terry has more career league goals than Andres Iniesta.
cymrococh Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 (edited) Hulk's thighs are the same distance in diameter as Peter Crouch's arms are in length. Edited September 20, 2018 by cymrococh

Ombudsam Posted September 24, 2018 Posted September 24, 2018 This thread is awesome. Some of the things aren’t true just because, you know, they can’t be.
stressederic Posted September 24, 2018 Posted September 24, 2018 In 685 club games, Ronald Koeman scored 239 goals. I know he took free kicks and penalties but that is a ridiculous number for a player in his position.
_00_deathscar Posted September 25, 2018 Author Posted September 25, 2018 In 08/09, Tevez, Rooney and Ronaldo started four league games together. Makes sense - they had Berbatov in any of their stead. Whereas the similar Gerrard/Torres stat (eight starts I think?) meant we had to bring on Ngog and Alonso/Masch getting injured meant a very young, inexperienced Lucas coming in.

Yea, to put it into perspective, even if Cristiano Ronaldo took every free kick and every penalty for his club from a young age, I don't think he'd hit 240 goals in 680-ish games.
PhilM Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Jari Litmanen played for Finland's full national team in four different decades. In the 2005/06 season, Kris Boyd was top scorer for both Rangers (26 goals) and Kilmarnock (17 goals) in the same season. David Moyes and David Beckham played in the same side when the latter was on loan at Preston.

cymrococh Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 David Moyes and David Beckham played in the same side when the latter was on loan at Preston.Alan Brazil played against Michael Owen.
PhilM Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Sorry, minor edit. It was actually 20 goals that he scored for Rangers, not 26.
New York Red Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Sorry, minor edit. It was actually 20 goals that he scored for Rangers, not 26.Then your observation is no longer of any interest.
