Serko Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 Rumours this will be at Wembley as the new stadium isn't ready yet.
Barnesy_10 Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 they upped ST prices because of the new stadium too... will be asking for a refund if half the season won't be played in it
sutty Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 I know somebody who is working on the construction he said to me in June that they were targeting December to finish it and that the september thing had no chance.
Gunga Din Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 you'd imagine construction costs will spiral massively too.
Rimbeux Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 I know somebody who is working on the construction he said to me in June that they were targeting December to finish it and that the september thing had no chance. So a marketing trick to make people think they were getting all but one or two home games in the new place, rather than half?
sutty Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 So a marketing trick to make people think they were getting all but one or two home games in the new place, rather than half? I 'd guess that they were keen to maintain the pressure to get it done asap - there's apparently big commercial impacts if they don't get it finalised in 2018. So I reckon if they published a new date, they'd worry it would take the pressure off and put end of year at risk. But who knows, could be marketing.
Cobs Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 the pictures they released the other week looked a fair way from completion - are all their home games prior to Sep 15th at Wembley ?
Hightown Phil Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 the pictures they released the other week looked a fair way from completion - are all their home games prior to Sep 15th at Wembley ? They've only got one. Had the fixtures done so they had AHAA.

Big Red Machine Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 I thought you weren't allowed to play home games in 2 separate grounds in a single season?
Leo No.8 Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 (edited) They've only got one. Had the fixtures done so they had AHAA.The Alan Partridge fixture pattern Edited August 13, 2018 by Leo No.8
psl Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 The Alan Partridge fixture pattern Was the first thing I thought of also!
Earl Hafler Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 There was only 1. Spurs fans losing their heads.
Case Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 I thought you weren't allowed to play home games in 2 separate grounds in a single season? They should be made to play at Wycombe Wanderers for the rest of the season, with away fans only allowed in.

oakie bob Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 will go down well with the NFL if the stadium isn't ready for the game there in October
Jarg Armani Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 I hope things continue to go wrong for them. Spawny little tw*ts.
Swipe Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 Didn’t fancy being part of the whole circus of their first game in the new stadium tbh.
stressederic Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 Didn’t fancy being part of the whole circus of their first game in the new stadium tbh. No me neither. Would've been nice to ruin it for them but the fact it would be an 'occasion' made me wary.
Ripley Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 Electrical trade buzzing after ad offering very generous rates for immediate work on a North London project. No prizes for precise location where it is said that about 25% of fire alarms are operational and possible sabotage is mooted. Project completion could be "months from now".
épieur Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Could end up playing Manchester City at a third stadium as Wembley is booked for NFL that day. Surely a points deduction will follow from this? Spurs have acted massively in bad faith here.
