My real-life Country & Western day, ethereal coincidences, and agony aunt advice needed.

Right - I'm not sure where to start with this, so I'm just going to jump in.

Last Saturday, I had a real-life Country & Western song day.  My dog died. I lost my job. And the Reds lost the European Cup Final.  As far as I know, my woman didn't leave town on the back of some musician's Harley.  Maybe I'd have swapped that for Karius not being a total gobs***e.  I dunno.

Anyway. My wife is one of these people who 'see' stuff, messages, in advance of them happening.  My take is that this is somewhat self-fulfilling, but I can't quite explain everything around it.  Coincidences maybe. She 100% got a viable message for my Mum a few days before she died last year, which gave My Mum huge comfort, but which from my perspective wasn't something my wife would have particularly known about.

So.

She insists that a couple of days after our dog died on Saturday she got a message from him that he'd come back to her soon as 'a black and white puppy'.  Yesterday morning, my wife took her car in for an MOT and went for a walk.  She goes for a coffee to a place she hasn't been in before and just as she arrives is a Jack Russell puppy that had wandered away from it's owner.  She left a note at the cafe saying that if the owner couldn't be quickly located, we could look after it for a few days as we still had all the gear.  Didn't think much of it. The owner said she'd take the pup to the police.

Last night we get a call from the owner.  The puppy wasn't a puppy.  It was six.  BUT. 12 weeks ago she'd just had puppies - one of which they don't want to keep and would we like it?.  My wife's head has gone.

So.

Advice needed really.  You lose a pet, all the advice seems to be wait a few months blah, blah - otherwise it's a rebound.

So, quite apart from the coincidences above, what's your take?.

Ta

Case.
