So ...

Karius

Trent - Matip - Van Dijk - Robertson

Chamberlain - Can - Milner

Salah - Firmino - Mane

Apart from Mendy they have everyone available, even Kompany. Head 2 head - Klopp 6 wins (one of them after penalties), Pep 5 wins - 1 draw. We got battered at theirs in the Mane-Ederson game and we beat them 4-3 at home. So yeah. Anyone else both terrified and excited at the same time?

As posted the other thread, (here) Pep's been to Argentina where he happened to meat an old bloke who's know to be one of the great tacticians in football. So clearly he's worried and have enlisted all the help he can get. Jürgen's football is not normal.

PS: The bloke thinks that Guardiola is the Che Guevara of football.

This lot could score three past us in the first 10 mins. Tie over.

And so could we

They've lost twice this season already in the CL, we're undefeated

Think we’ll get done, although I’m gonna do almost everything I can to stop it happening

Looking forward to the prematch piss up mind

It’s day 40 off the booze today, which means by Weds I’ll have been off it for a staggering six weeks - not that I’m counting

With regard to the game: I think our last game will be better prep than theirs

Our approach couldn’t be more different to that of Everton and if Pep wants to try brand new tactics following his chat with Menotti then great (I don’t think he does btw)

And Trent: no mas por favor, ta

not that we’ll see long balls

Yeah but we’re normally the only team on the pitch that can do that. It gives me the s***s playing another team that can and are more likely to.

Ideally need a 2-0 first leg lead, but it's hard to see them not scoring at Anfield. Then again I can't see us not scoring at their place. This tie has the tension of the Chelsea SF in 2005 with two teams that score freely.

You haven’t seen much of them then, as they utilise that pass behind the opposition fullback quite often; shift the ball around, go deep to De Bruyne and he sweeps it out to Sané.

That’s not what I call a long ball

A long ball is played from a defender near his penalty area (in my definition)

The situation I’m referring to is a long ball inside the full back that a player initially wide of the full back or in line with him collects inside

Apart from long balls, City have been playing balls inside the full back for a few years, showing that multiple threats exist

I wouldn't leave Henderson out
