magneto Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Another nice break in between matches. Fully expecting the same team that beat West Ham.Can is one card away from a suspension so would be best to avoid getting carded as we play United in the league thereafter. Geordies are still in a bit of a relegation scrap. They should have easily seen off Bournemouth but did well against the Mancs at home the week before last so are capable of an upset. My team: KariusTrent Matip VVD RobertsonMilner Ox CanSalah Firmino Mane
Cunny Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 reckon Lovren and Henderson come back for this. Also, pretty obvious something is not quite right with Henderson if they feel the need to still manage his games when it was 10 days since last game and 7 till next.
spacemonkey Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Not sure that's right about Can. Could only find sources stating that he's on 8 cards for the season so he should be ok for the next couple of games at least. Could be tight until the end of the season though so he's likely to miss two at some point. Would be handy to have him for United and Chelsea.
Gethin Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Premier League site has him on 8 so he'll be fine for United even if he gets booked this weekend https://www.premierleague.com/stats/top/players/yellow_card
Cunny Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 don't cards in domestic cup competitions count towards a ban?when you get suspended, it's not just for PL games
Alonso Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 He got a yellow in the fa Cup so on 9. If he gets a yellow v newcastle then he’ll miss Utd and Watford. I’d play Henderson against Newcastle and can against Porto.
Jarg Armani Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Klopp has pretty much said he will do that. Revealing his hand to Rafa... Very... foolish move man...
MarkD Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Very... foolish move man... You are Danny from Withnail and I - and I claim Cobs' £5
Sion Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 The max points Chelsea could get if they lose to City is 80, and they've got Spurs coming up as well. If they lose this weekend they're not getting any better than 75/76 points you'd think. So suffice to say if we win this and City beat Chelsea then we probably only need 5 wins from the last 9 to cement top 4. Which therefore makes it the biggest game in 28 years.
Jarg Armani Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 You are Danny from Withnail and I - and I claim Cobs' £5 5 quid? You can stuff it up your a*** for nothing, and f*** off while you're doing it!
Conrad Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 this weekend really is a great opportunity to put a significant gap between us and Chelsea
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 the mockers are all over this thread
Earl Hafler Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Lallana still suspended for the suspension he wasn’t going to get. Unlucky.

Rory Fitzgerald Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Maybe Rafa to go 5 at the back, stay deep at all times and play fast players wide up front like Gayle Ritchie Kenedy maybe or Ayoze Perez. They’d still need to play exceptionally well to keep us out.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Dwight Gayle in form then. Not sure any of their lads are in form, they’ve quite a few draws recently. Just enough to in the past few games to keep them just outside the bottom 3.
Earl Hafler Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Is he?Nah. I was just trying to mess with Macca.
Hightown Phil Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 (edited) Gayle is out injured. Edited February 26, 2018 by Hightown Phil

Ed the Wool Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 (edited) He's good Gayle and I think I read he was 28 or 29 the other day that really surprised me. Reminds me a bit of Bellamy. Meanwhile, I enjoyed this bit of Rafa madness. http://www.nufcblog.co.uk/2018/02/26/ex-liverpool-striker-fernando-torres-shares-brilliant-story-about-nufcs-rafa-benitez-what-a-bloke/ Edited February 27, 2018 by Ed the Wool
