I’d start Lallana ahead of Ox as he knows the role better.

so would I

very nervous about Ox there in this fixture , even though he's improving

I think this thread is for the game this Sunday - not the charity shield in August.

I’d go:

Karius

Gomez

VVD

Matip

Robertson

Wijnaldum

Lallana

Can

Mane

Firmino

Salah

Reckon we win 3-2

That team should practically pick itself. Only possibly variants is if oxo chambo should start over lallana and if TAA should start ahead of gomez.

Lallana looked way off his best on Friday, which is no surprise as he has barely played in months. I could see us going with Chamberlain instead. I'd expect Gomez to start though.

I thought Lallana looked much more capable than Chamberlain has in recent games.

Just looking at the training photos on the offal and my god we have a handsome squad of men. What we may lose with Can is more than off-set with what we gain with Virgil.
