Off goes Rowdy
1971 - Ron Yeats signed for Tranmere Rovers. The giant Scottish centre-half had netted sixteen goals in 454 outings for the reds, captaining us to two League titles, our first FA Cup, Second Division title and FA Charity Shield. He was one of Bill Shankly’s first and most inspired signings, arriving for just £22,000 from Dundee United in July 1961.
