RP Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 (edited) This will no doubt be a very short thread, but credit where it’s due. They did a good job recognising the Brighton branch of the Supporters Club ... the horribly named “Brighton Kop”. Peter Moore turned up in their boozer today, gave the founder a gift from the Club ... and put his card behind the ramp. Fair play to him for that. Edited December 2, 2017 by RP

New York Red Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 and put his card behind the ramp. What does that mean RP?
Leo No.8 Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 I thought got the ale in - put his card behind the bar? If so good for him.
Widnesian Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 .. and put his card behind the ramp. Is that Brighton slang?
Jarg Armani Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 Weird sucking up to these Brighton types all weekend. Who cares?
The Hitman Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 A nice touch, but why Brighton specifically?
RP Posted December 3, 2017 Author Posted December 3, 2017 He paid for their drinks - looked like it was for any of the supporters club members who were going to the match. A nice touch, but why Brighton specifically?Just cos The Guardian featured that video of them, I guess.
DecidedByPoll Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Weird sucking up to these Brighton types all weekend. Who cares?True. I think in part it’s because ‘the Brighton Kop’ were clear that they had a number of gay members and the club is choosing to do lots of work around diversity, including being the first Premier League club to be a Stonewall Diversity champion.
Ombudsam Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 I thought got the ale in - put his card behind the bar?If so good for him.Great set of lads.
bsl Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Look forward to seeing him in the Solly before the derby.
RP Posted December 3, 2017 Author Posted December 3, 2017 well this changes everything!!! I knew you’d love it.
New York Red Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 He’s such a paid gun. That’s all it took.
Murphman Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 well this changes everything!!! I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. F*ck off FSG (Obviously)

Falconhoof Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Tory behaviour. You don’t need your community libraries/surestart centres/anny rd development/ proper investment Here’s a nominally cheerful thing to distract you from the bigger picture

jimbolala Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 They never bothered with our other games, why cry about it now?
Ed the Wool Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 How's that? They didn’t do our other games. The question is, does the club really benefit long term from restricting this to its own website, or is it just making our world and potential fan base smaller in the long term for the sake of driving a few website hits. It would appear to be the same logic as not expanding the ARE. Does keeping demand high and ticket prices high really help us longer term then an extra 10-15k locals and kids getting in to see the match. It's that same poing of what is good for FSG short term, isn't necessarily what is right for the club. The bad bellwhiffs.

The bad bellwhiffs. No one becomes a fan of Liverpool because they heard them on the radio, so this is actually an interesting development. It also means that our fans don’t have to listen to a bad bell end like Chris Waddle.
cymrococh Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 No one becomes a fan of Liverpool because they heard them on the radio,Of course they do.
Jarg Armani Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 Of course they do.It's definitely part of the picture. I have found it so frustrating in the past few seasons since city stopped covering the match that I can't get it on the radio.
