My son starts with Peac***s in January and would appreciate local knowledge from anybody who knows Cardiff. He's at their head office in Capital Link, Windsor Road, From the the map The Bay (Is that Tiger Bay?) has quite a few nice studios and small one beds, modern and secure. He can cycle to work from there too. Is there any reason he shouldn't be looking here and are there better options? This is his first job, he's not on big bucks so under £700 for a budget but it looks like he can get a brand new studio with a communal swimming pool and concierge for that (Too good to be true?)
