Curling

The US Olympic trials for curling are in Omaha at the moment. A mate of mine is a professor at a local uni, who are hosting the event. He convinced us to go with him last night.

 

All the free wine, beer and appetizers could not make up for the fact that curling has to be one of the worst pastimes ever created. Best part of 3 hours to complete a game, and then they tell me that was game 1 of a best of 3.

 

The saddest thing was seeing spectators who were wearing foam stone hats, and drinking pop from stone shaped containers.
