Conrad Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Right, let's look forward. 3 points a must. It won't be easy. Might as well give Karius another go. I don't trust him but if Klopp isn't going to pick him in the league now, I don't know when he will KariusGomez-Klavan-Matip-MorenoWijnaldum-Henderson-CoutinhoOxlade Chamberlain-Firmino-Salah Mane, Lallana and Clyne walk straight in to that team when fit
realtarragona Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Agree re front 6 but I'd go: WardMilner Gomez Matip Moreno Wouldn't be surprised to see Mignolet start though. Or Lovren even (has it been said whether he was injured or not?).
Cam Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Got a sneaky suspicion that Wagner will out-Klopp Klopp and we'll be longing for the heavy metal pressing football of last season. Anyway, let's go nuts and look for lolz:ABMMilner Henderson Firmino RobertsonCoutinho Oxlade MorenoSalah Solanke Woodburn
rednotdead Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 WardMilner Gomez Matip Robertson Grujic Henderson Salah. Firmino Coutinho Sturridge Not many options in midfield - as big a problem as our defence
Earl Hafler Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Trent in midfield. Can to the bench. Shape up or f*** off - and that’s to everyone.
D.Boon Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 I'm not feeling the Coutinho in midfield vibe at all this season. Closer to the opposition goal he plays the better
Conrad Posted October 23, 2017 Author Posted October 23, 2017 I'm not feeling the Coutinho in midfield vibe at all this season. Closer to the opposition goal he plays the betterI agree, but I'd rather he plays there and Milner and Can miss out
Barnesy_10 Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 i'd start trying to push Robertson to give CB position a go until we at least get to a transfer window and fail to sign another
cymrococh Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 i'd start trying to push Robertson to give CB position a go until we at least get to a transfer window and fail to sign another Put Can back there again.
Begbie Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Ward Milner Gomez Matip Robertson Gini Hendo Coutinho Salah Firmino Ox Not what we'll go with, what I'd try
Molby Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 (edited) I'd like to get Solanke on the pitch, without moving Firmino hence, the two of them up front, with Salah and Ox wide MF, Coutinho in the middle with Henderson we've lost a midfielder*...so f***ing what? worth it if Solanke turns out to be good *or gained one if we do it right Edited October 23, 2017 by Molby
Earl Hafler Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Midfield diamond of Hendo, Trent, Ox and Coutinho. Energy, pressing, Hendo as the anchor. Salah and Firmino in attack. I think Klavan should be able to cope with Huddersfield but have only seen them once this season so unsure about their forward line.
Conrad Posted October 23, 2017 Author Posted October 23, 2017 I'd like to get Solanke on the pitch, without moving Firmino worth it if Solanke turns out to be good Solanke hasn't looked remotely ready to start, so far
dorgie Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 They had a fella on the right wing against Man Utd and he looked very good. This isn't going to be easy.
Bootle Buck Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Solanke hasn't looked remotely ready to start, so farTo be fair he has only had the odd 10 minutes here and there. He at least looks like a proper striker and given him some time will only help his development.Ward Milner Gomez Matip Robertson Gini Hendo Coutinho Salah Firmino Ox Not what we'll go with, what I'd tryI like that team. More solid at the back definately.
Molby Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Solanke hasn't looked remotely ready to start, so farharshand in a 2, it might be a bit easier for him also, the under 23s are playing man u atm 4-4-2 diamond comments please:1 is this usual?2 if so, is the blueprint of formations running through the ages being ripped up, or is a change coming at senior level too?
D.Boon Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 (edited) Would have thought giving Solanke half an hour on Sunday wouldn't have been the worst idea in the world. Edited October 23, 2017 by D.Boon
New York Red Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 I really would give Ward a try. He's been impressive with us and with Wales in 2016.
Sion Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 There's no way Ward plays. There's only a small chance Karius plays. In fact I'd be surprised if Lovren didnt play.
Conrad Posted October 24, 2017 Author Posted October 24, 2017 I can't understand why anyone would want Ward to play A keeper who Klopp thinks is not as good as Karius, let alone MIgnolet
Stevie Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 (edited) I can't understand why anyone would want Ward to playIt may be because the other 2 are a bit s*** and can’t be relied upon. Ward has yet to make any calamitous mistakes for us yet. If Klopp doesn’t think Ward is any good, why did he decide to keep hold of him in the summer and not buy at least 1 keeper who is any good? Edited October 24, 2017 by Stevie
Nate. Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Watch Moreno and Lovren start this game. Lovren I can see, but why not Moreno?
