If your (2ply) bog roll has one of the plys longer than the other, separate them and flip the top one backwards over the roll once & voila - they're the same length

 

If you have an imbalance in a sum - say on a spreadsheet's cross check - that's divisible by 9, odds are that you transposed 2 numbers somewhere along the line, so look for that first
